Christopher J. Roads
Pima County Deputy Recorder & Registrar of Voters

Chris Roads, a resident of Pima County since 1972, has been an important influence in the Recorder's office since 1995, first as the Deputy County Attorney representing the Recorder's office, and then as the Registrar of Voters, appointed by F. Ann Rodriguez in June 1999. Chris was appointed Chief Deputy Recorder in March 2004. He will retain both his old and new title.

Chris earned his juris doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1984, and a B.S. from the University of Arizona in 1980. In 1990, following various appointments in private and public service, he joined the Pima County Attorney's office, where he worked as a Supervising Deputy County Attorney in both the criminal and civil divisions. His extensive knowledge and experience in election related law make Chris a valuable asset to the Recorder's office.

Chris’s wife, Lee, is an attorney in private practice; they have two children and are very involved in their children’s schooling and activities. Chris and his family recently completed scuba diving certification.
